Sam Robins joined Sport Canterbury’s Physical Activity team in April 2017.
Her role as Physical Health Advisor takes responsibility for the Spreydon-Heathcote ward.
Sam’s key responsibilities are: supporting individuals to engage in lifelong physical activity for wellness; delivering eight-week 'Be Active' programmes; and providing physical activity leadership and relevant resources for Canterbury communities.
She holds Bachelor’s degree in physical education (exercise prescription and management, along with sport and leisure studies) from Otago University.
Sam comes from a South Canterbury farming background and loves being active in the outdoors – from running and hiking to water sports.
Although she played a variety of sports over the year, rugby remains her favourite.
