- The KORU; symbolises growth individually and collectively

- The segment of the ball represents the individual.
We started with the shape characteristic of a ball or the globe, associated with action, movement and belonging.
Within that space the sections reflect our diverse stakeholders across our community – advocates for the value of play, active recreation and sport participation and healthy choices.
The sections are also meaningful to us as a reflection of our regional approach – from Greater Ōtautahi Christchurch, to Mid and South Canterbury and Te Tai Poutini West Coast. The highlighted section is intended to suggest the viewer (yourself) plays a role in our Sport Canterbury world – whether as teacher, coach, parent, health professional or activity provider.
We all have the ability to enable change and inspire healthier choices.
