Our Community Sport team is extending a special opportunity to teachers, coaches and youth mentors - and anyone interested in learning about traditional Māori games.

On Tuesday 24 April, Sport Canterbury's SportStart Tākaro workshop is designed to support the understanding and delivery of tradtional Māori games.

You will learn:

- The games

-Whakapapa (geneaology)

-Tikanga

-How to make your own poi for Poi Toa

Venue - Mairehau High School

Time - 9am to 3pm
