Sport Canterbury and Workplace First Aid Training established a partnership in late 2020. Since then, we have been delivering first aid courses to schools, sports clubs and other regional organisations.
Our partnership aims to ensure more people have the valuable skill of being first aid trained. All proceeds from our courses in Waitaha Canterbury and Te Tai Poutini West Coast are invested in young, emerging athletes through the Canterbury Sports Foundation.
Workplace First Aid Training Ltd is a New Zealand Qualifications Authority-accredited Private Training Establishment (PTE).
Our first aid courses are customised for our clients to ensure we meet individual needs. We provide quality, affordable, enjoyable courses that give participants the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver emergency first aid.
We have a team of five based in Waitaha Canterbury - a Regional Manager, an Administrator and three Instructors.
Our public courses are held at Ngā Puna Wai Sports Hub and our Sport Canterbury boardroom in Hornby. Both venues offer plenty of free parking.
Up to 20 participants can attend a course, creating a great group dynamic. We offer a range of course types, including Comprehensive, Workplace, Recertification and Provide Basic Emergency Care.

Supporting the local community is a key priority for Workplace First Aid. Therefore, all proceeds from first aid courses in the Waitaha Canterbury and Te Tai Poutini West Coast regions are invested in young, emerging athletes through the Canterbury Sports Foundation.
Sport Canterbury and Workplace First Aid Training are committed to supporting regional athletes and guiding them into a national high-performance pathway via a tailored support programme that includes travel assistance, equipment costs and coaching and development. With our support, young athletes from various disciplines can access international opportunities to pursue their sporting dreams.
