Green Prescription

Green Prescription is a free service providing support and encouragement to increase physical activity and healthy lifestyles across the South Canterbury region.

We aim to help you to live an active and healthy life.

Green Prescription is only available for residents of South Canterbury (Timaru, Geraldine, Twizel, Waimate, Temuka, Fairlie and Pleasent Point).

For healthy lifestyle support in Ōtautahi Christchurch, please speak to your doctor or general practice team.

How do I get a Green Prescription?

Are you 18 years or over and want support to be more physically active? Do you live in South Canterbury?

Complete a Green Prescription self-referral form - or speak with your doctor, practice nurse or health care professional, and ask for a Green Prescription.

With Green Prescription you will have access to:

Support from our knowledgeable Healthy Lifestyle Advisor
Regular follow-ups to support you on your journey
